Excellent bed and breakfast. Quaint, clean, with all of the little touches that make a b&b great. Mike is fantastic. The room had everything we'd want: a big bathtub, shower, comfortable and clean bed, beautiful woodwork (done by Mike), and toiletries provided. My boyfriend is gluten free and I am a vegetarian, and Mike was accommodating to both of us. In the afternoons he makes cookies, and made my boyfriend gluten free cookies each day. For breakfast, which was truly fantastic, Mike provided excellent coffee, gluten free and vegetarian options, and warm muffins. He also has a hot tub and deck with seating.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights during the week to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Mike was AMAZING! He keeps an immaculate and tasteful home full of every luxury you could hope for; delicious wine with keepsake glasses, bathrobes, hot tub access, fresh made coffee and tea, homemade cookies, and not to mention the BEST breakfast in town. We were so impressed with his cooking, and he was more than happy to accommodate my vegan diet. We will definitely be back next time we take a beach getaway!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Craftsman for our honeymoon. As soon as we walked in the door, we were immediately relaxed. It was just what we needed after our long and busy weekend. The decor was very tasteful, mainly decorated with craftsman/mission style furniture and beach scene paintings. Mike, the owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area.We spent a lot of time talking to him, especially about his restaurant and day trip recommendations; all of which were spot on. We highly recommend the Delicate Palate Bistro across the street and the Three Capes Loop for a day trip. Mike also made delicious breakfasts such as; bananas fosters french toast (I usually do not like french toast but seriously, this was good!), Stratta, Frittata, and an apple oven pancake. They were all so good! He also served warm muffins, orange juice and Miele espresso coffee before breakfast every morning. It was fun to meet and chat with other guests during breakfast, as well. Some were driving down the coast to/from California, while others just stayed a night or two as a side trip from a business conference or a getaway from Portland. We stayed in the Prairie room, which had a great claw foot tub, a down comforter/nice linens on the bed and had a deck that looked out to the front toward the beach. Very comfortable all around. We highly recommend this hidden gem!

My husband and I were looking for a place on the coast for our anniversary. We happened upon the Craftsman because they did not have a 2 night minimum stay on a holiday weekend. We were so pleasantly surprised by the location (Pacific City is one of our favorite spots) and the accomodations! Lovely home(my husband loved that it wasn't cutesy), very comfortable room and great breakfast. Mike and Laura were so kind and full of great information for hikes, lunch, dinner, beaches, golf... We would definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone.

We stayed here one night while touring the coast on our Honeymoon. Mike was very welcoming without being overbearing - he gave us great info on where to eat and also explained a local map to us. The room was in excellent condition and just the way I like it - not overcrowded with trinkets or floral prints everywhere! I also appreciate Mike's efforts to be environmentally friendly whenever possible. Breakfast was filling and he made vegetarian sausage links for my husband - yum!

I loved my fiancé and i's little one night stay here, it was so relaxing and home-y :) the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was amazing with a huge tub! Not to mention Mike was so incredibly nice and welcoming, he made an amazing breakfast (French toast waffles with blueberry/raspberry/strawberry compote, sausage patty and cranberry orange muffins) Had a great stay!!! We will be back

My wife and I stayed for 2 night a few weeks ago and I must admit Mike does an excellent job keeping that place in sharp condition. The customer service was outstanding and Mike never hesitated to advise my wife and I where to eat along the coast. The breakfast was impeccable! We are from Denver but if we ever move to Portland we will for sure go back there.

Very nice B&B. The house is well done and the room was very comfortable. You can tell he put a lot of work into that house. The breakfast was delicious and he kept the coffee flowing which keeps me happy. I would stay there again for sure. Great place.

I brought my lady here for a early anniversary gift, thought it might be nice to unwind and be "technology" free. We ended up playing on our phones a lot. The weather was not on our side during our trip. The Craftsman is a very cute little B&B. Mike was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the blue room, the bed was really comfortable. The B&B is not as close to the beach as advertised...and not a lot is in walking distance. My biggest issue is we found ants in our room (on the bed, on the floor, etc). Mike was quick to offer a way to catch them but that was it. We don't like bugs and know ants aren't a real issue but if you have an aversion like us, maybe do a check before you settle in. Other than that this place is real cute. Breakfast was amazing, Mike is one fantastic cook. And the hot tub is a big perk! We'd gladly stay here again if we come back to Pacific City!

Excellent bed and breakfast. My wife and I have been to a fair number of B&Bs and find this to be one of our favorites. Mike put a lot of love into this beautiful home. He saved the home and rebuilt it from the studs up. Hot tub is a nice touch. Enjoyed it while it rained. The espresso/coffee machine is a work of art and I am envious! The rooms are well appointed and comfortable with updated fixtures. Overall a very nice change from your overly "Victorian" and cute B&Bs.

A quintessential Bed and Breakfast experience! My 8-months pregnant wife and I stayed in the Prairie room and loved the balcony, bed and huge bathroom. Mike is a wonderful host and excellent breakfast cook. Great value - I'd recommend it to anyone. See you again soon, Mike!

This is the best place to stay in Pacific City, Oregon. Just a block or two off the main road and within walking distance to places to eat. You can also walk to the ocean from here which was only about 5 minutes away. I noticed someone complained about that in a review so I am not sure what they were talking about. Michael greeted me at check-in with oatmeal cookies. I stayed upstairs in the Morris room. I chose this room because I liked the wallpaper. The bed was comfortable and had nice sheets. The bathroom has a very nice tiled bath/tub shower. It was very quiet at night and I slept well. I woke up and went downstairs and Michael served a breakfast of banana fosters french toast, turkey sausage, sliced apple, scones with marion berry jam, orange juice and tea. I was stuffed and did not need lunch. Michael was also there anytime to help with any questions about the area. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone.

This is a cute little bed & breakfast but. we were a little disappointed. The owner is a little to involved in your coming & going. Every time we left or came back he walked out & had to have a conversation. I like my privacy in places like this. It was quiet, the food was amazing but the bed was horrible & wrecked my back. Wasn't as close tothe beach as we thought and no it's not really in walking distance as it claimed. There was a yucky smell in the bathroom, like they had cleaned it with a dirty rag. Needless to say, we won't be back. Spent a lot and didn't get what we expected.

Mike is the best! Super helpful and really, really good cook. :) Stayed here with some friends over the weekend, and couldn't be happier. We will definitely come back!

The beds are comfy, the bath room has plenty of hot water and a huge tub, neighborhood is quiet, and the breakfast is delicious! What more could you ask for? If your impression of B&B's is from movies such as "Flirting with Disaster", then the Craftsman B&B will be a very pleasant surprise! Not a doily in sight, plenty of coffee, tea and goodies outside of breakfast, and extremely friendly and helpful innkeepers. Mike gave several excellent recommendations for restaurants, wineries, and local hikes. The house itself is beautifully appointed as well as comfortable. A short walk to several excellent Pacific City restaurants (including the Delicate Palate across the street) and about a five-ten minute walk from the lovely Pacific City beach. Close enough to Lincoln City for shopping and big beach town feel, but off the beaten path enough for peace and quiet when you have had enough of that foolishness. I plan to tell all my friends who are contemplating a trip to Oregon to look up the Craftsman B&B and perhaps will stay again on a future trip (as long as we are sans kids, I do not believe they take children, but that's what makes this place so quiet and comfy for the big kids!)
